Do you understand the Resurrection of the Dead? If you do not . . . if there is not a proper understanding of eternal life, then your faith may be in vain and your whole life a waste.

If you follow Ezra's example--grief over sin, repentance from that sin, and trust in the Law of God--God can also make a difference in the lives of people through His power at work in you.

Jesus manifested His deity in ‘humility through service’ by both becoming a slave and taking on flesh. Our service should be modeled this way as well.

As a Christian, are you winning the battle of whether to laugh or believe?

We must first notice in our text that the name of God will be great among the nations (v11). This is not a theoretical, but an actual.

Since the gift of Jesus is the perfect gift, what will you do with this gift? Or perhaps a better question is "what will this gift DO to you or through you?"

Are you believing and resting in the Word of God today? Do you recognize that it is the light of the world, sent to enlighten all men? If so, does it show? Are you reflecting to everyone that Jesus is your only hope?

The principle Jesus gives for your spiritual life is NOT to labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life which the Son of Man gives.

Love and care for one another within the Body of Christ means, among other things, 'sharing' for Paul. He speaks to the importance of communication within the Church.

The question asked by the sermon title provides a good self-examination for every member of every family . . . what does your family life say about your faith?

Paul makes it clear that the characteristics Christians are to 'wear' are those having to do with God, in general, or characteristics that can be seen in Christ's life, specifically.

If then you have been raised with Christ (v1) . . . Paul begins by underscoring the importance of the resurrection of Christ and our participation in it. For what are you willing to die?

But the word of the cross is the 'power of God' to those who are being saved. God uses what is foolish in the world to shame the wise. We are still being called to be fools for the sake of Christ. What does a fool for Christ look and act like?
