Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.”Now Dave, let’s talk about being the offspring of God because a lot of people say, Hey, we are all children of God.

Dear TA and Dave:I understand and share your disdain for paraphrased versions of the Bible, but I do not believe that the Amplified Bible is a paraphrased version.I presently use the large print Amplified Bible that states on the front cover that it captures the full meaning behind the original Greek and Hebrew.

We’re concluding our discussions of Dave Hunt’s book, When Will Jesus Come? subtitled: Compelling Evidence For The Soon Return Of Christ.

This is our Understanding the Scriptures segment, we are in the Book of Acts and we are going to pick up---actually we are going to begin Acts Chapter 27, and start with Verse 1: “And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Julius a centurion of Augustus’ band. And entering into a ship of Adramyttium, we launched, meaning to sail by the coasts of Asia; one Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us. And the next day we touched at Sidon. And Julius courteously entreated Paul, and gave him liberty to go unto his friends to refresh himself."

Well, Tom, as you know, many people use this Scripture to say that every tribe and tongue and so forth, every person on this earth must hear the gospel before the Rapture can occur, and that is obviously, not the case. Because the Rapture could occur at any moment—

Today, in this segment, we’re going to discuss a subject which probably most of our listeners have never questioned but simply assumed to be true because, well, that’s what they grew up believing and never heard anyone challenge it’s veracity through the Scriptures. And, what I am referring to is Good Friday, the day most people believe that Jesus was crucified. In fact, most professing Christians around the world hold services on Good Friday in honor of Christ’s crucifixion, and that was certainly my experience growing up Roman Catholic. Nevertheless, we are going to take a serious look at a biblical basis for Good Friday.
