RIGGED - Part 1 - Why take the parties back?

Informações:

Sinopsis

In this episode we begin the discussion of why the people should take the parties back. Congress has an approval rating of around 13%, yet over 96% of incumbents get re-elected. Why? Because the people have lost control of the candidate selection process. Due to gerrymandering, "Remember in November" for many races is too late. To make a change, the primary is the key. The power of local parties to endorse gives them tremendous influence over who wins the primary. To change the status quo, the people must take back local parties from the establishment and endorse more principled representatives. Doing so is easier than most people think.
