  • Christian Sailer

    29/12/2020 Duración: 51min

He is the only shooter to win every area match, then cap it all off with a National Title, and his encore act was just as impressive repeating as the National Champion in the open division, all before his 21st birthday. Christian is young, but has the work ethic and skill of someone very senior in life, he jumped into the scene in 2018 and climbed all the way to the top in 2019, and hasn't looked back. Even with the early accomplishments he maintains a down to earth and humble attitude, and doing the right thing is always his priority. This episodes jumps into what Christian thinks of the future, his journey, and what his next goals are. Christian is as fun to be around as it is fun to watch him shoot. We can't wait to see where he ends up in the future, and it was truly an honor to sit down with him! • Chad and Charles from Trex Arms

    05/12/2020 Duración: 01h36s

Shooting is only half the battle when it comes to trying to attract new shooters on social media, and the other half is camera work and editing skills. I got to sit down with 2 of the best media creators within the gun community. Chad and Charles from Trex have a passion for education as well as creation. For the 2nd amendment to continue being protected, gun rights advocates must adapt, and use technology to their benefit. CJ got the chance to talk to the leaders in content creation out in Tennessee. As gun rights supporters we are grateful guys like this are on our side, to help show the great side of training. Each guy has a different story and journey, but recently they've teamed up to take the gun content creation by storm. • Lucas Botkin

    19/10/2020 Duración: 01h05min

Empty Brass is honored to welcome back the CEO of Trex-arms Luckas Botkin. There is no question that Lucas is a polarizing figure within the gun industry, but despite his biggest critics he has always been committed to doing the right thing based on his convictions. 2020 has been a wild ride for all of us, and we asked Lucas to find out how the lock down and riots impacted things at Trex-arms, as well as what they had done to prepare for incidents like these before hand. Lucas has always been an advocate of civilians owning basic kit, including a helmet, plate carrier, and night vision (if affordable) which has been heavily criticized by some for "larping'. Its fair to say that during the summer when every major city as well as smaller ones were rioting and burning the need for this basic kit became clear. Lucas stood by this position, and in our opinion was vindicated over the summer, and Lucas shares his opinion on what it was like to be right in an overwhelming way. Lucas continues to lead through these qu

  • Jerry Miculek

    06/08/2020 Duración: 01h16min

They also went down some parts of Jerry's career as well as discussed his father-in-law Jim Clark Sr who owned and operated Clark custom guns. This year has been a roller coaster, and Jerry talks about some of his struggles getting motivated to train, mostly due to the fact that many matches have been cancelled. It is truly an honor having Jerry on Empty Brass for the second time, and its hard to really express the our gratitude. Jerry is not only one of the most talented shooters in the world, he is a genuine stand up man's man. He believes in being competitive, doing the little things, and above all else winning. It goes back to when Jared Clawson was a kid, and he sits down with CJ and sheds light on a little bit of his journey, including how he learned to shoot a penny out of the air with an airsoft/bb gun.  Most f the time that wouldn't be believable, but 5 minutes on Jared's Instagram page, would be all the proof one would need.  The guys talk about the gun industry and things that could be improved in order to help the community as a whole unite.  Jared is a humble, polite, passionate shooter, who is determined to improve his skill level, as well as provided a reliable and dependable product to gun owners everywhere.  This episode is the first podcast Jared has done, and he explains how in 2020 he would like to open up more about his journey in shooting, in order to he

  • Lucas Botkin

    28/10/2019

The CEO of Trex-arms is often times polarizing, as well as subject of a lot of hate from gun owners.  The truth of the matter is Lucas is dedicating his time and resources to preserving the 2nd amendment.  Lucas came to Laramie to give a lecture at the University of Wyoming on the 2nd amendment, but before hand CJ and Lucas sat down to do the first podcast episode Lucas has been on. Some of the discussion topics closely resemble the lecture Lucas gave, so if you're curious about the material this is a glimpse. After the conversation Lucas and CJ hit the range, and did some shooting in a nice and warm 12 degree Wyoming day.  The critics that love to troll Lucas' personal page cannot deny he is one of the best advocates for preserving the right to bare arms. This is an episode you will want to listen to from beginning to end, and will hopefully get listeners to take a look at what they are or aren't doing to keep the 2nd amendment alive for their children's children. • The Journey of Empty Brass

    24/10/2019

Meet your host from Empty Brass CJ Boxrud and the journey that has brought me to where I am today.  Being a Podcast host and shooter have over time fused together and evolved over the course of the last year.  I have been extremely lucky, beyond even my wildest imagination to have shot with and talked to the people I have in the gun community this year.  Some have large followings, and some have small ones, but all my guests have large contributions to the community of gun owners.  This episode is a small break down of the the journey from the last couple of years, and what lead me to create Empty Brass, and how I have evolved since it was created.  Talking about yourself in an empty room really isn't something I enjoy doing, but in order for new listeners to learn a little bit about me, I found it necessary to have this episode on season 1.  If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a direct message at @cj_glocksrud on Instagram or if you prefer email you can send me message at chrisboxrud@gmail.com

  • Matt Gallant co-host Eli Suarez

    23/10/2019
