Through the Raiz Up Collective he is an activist that brings awareness to the anticolonial struggle.  With a father incarcerated until he was 13 and a mother who has struggled with substance abuse. Soufy uses hip hop to deal with racism, water rights and community. He performs across the country and facilitates workshops based on native culture. #NoDAPL Updates - On July 26, 2016 the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe was stunned to learn that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers had given its approval for the pipeline to run within a half-mile of the reservation without consultation or consent. The 1,172 mile Dakota Access Pipeline will cross Lake Oahe, the Missouri River and will disturb burial grounds and sacred sites on the tribe’s ancestral lands.
