  • BSCC 062 - Mary Anne's Makeover

    08/05/2017 Duración: 01h01min

Mary Anne is finally getting that makeover we’ve been hearing about for so long! We also have reason to believe that Mr. Spier and Logan have a lot more in common than we thought, and that Mr. Spier and the X-Men’s Wolverine have a lot more in common than we thought. He’s the best there is at what he does, and what he does is weird sex play with food. Also, Jack is moving to Texas so nothing else really matters. Music Credits:  “Sepia” by Podington Bear  “Red in Black” by Kosta  T “Vessel” by Ship Wrek, Zookeepers & Trauzers  "A Storm At Eilean Mor" by Jon Luc Hefferman    As always, special thanks to Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC: Mystery – Stacey and the Missing Ring

    01/05/2017 Duración: 01h09min

It's the first ever Baby-Sitters Club Mystery! And things get very mysterious, very quickly. Stacey McGill has stolen a powerful ring that turns the babysitters against each other. Meanwhile, the boys are attacked by a terrible spectral presence in the room, Tanner spills an entire beer onto his crotch, and it seems almost certain that a fissure has been opened up between our world and the strange parallel universe in which the Baby-Sitters Club Mysteries take place. Jack and Tanner also chat with Kelsey and Holland from Whatever It Takes: A Degrassi Podcast to get their insights on the thousand mystifying mysteries contained within Stacey and the Missing Ring.   Music credits:   “Midnight Story,” by Platinum EDM    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 061 - Mallory Hates Boys (and Gym)

    24/04/2017 Duración: 01h03min

It's "pandemonium" in Stoneybrook this week! Which means, troublingly, that ALL the demons are back. And, perhaps worse, all the boys are being strange and difficult, which is stressing Mallory out to no end. A guest appearance from some of the business boys over at Goliath Industries does very little to ease the tension, and neither does the extended discussion of alleged boy Logan Bruno's complicated relationship with American sports. Not a good showing for ANY of the boys this week, so it looks like Mallory may well be onto something here.     Music credits:   “Where Did She Go,” by OurMusicBox  “Touch The Sky,” by 98.20.11 X Bienkovsky    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 059 - Dawn Saves the Planet

    10/04/2017 Duración: 01h02min

Your two heavily jet-lagged boys are back in the USA and they're ready to talk about our precious Dawn, Claudia's latest outfit, and saving the planet! Somehow that goes off the rails pretty fast and what we've ended up with here is a surprisingly deep dive into the life and work of the music producer Steve Albini? Sorry about that! Stick around for an appearance by Stoneybrook News's Pulitzer-prize winning correspondent Chuck Whittaker, some profound analysis of the complicated "earring-hierarchy" in the BSC, and, yes, just a little taste of Bread Theory.   Music credits:  “Time Police,” by ErikMMusic  “Breaking Point,” by PlatinumEDM  “Overture,” by Lionheart    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and a special thank you to Baby Bee Matt, aka WolfKiller for this week’s Heavy Metal outro. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 058 - Keep Out, Claudia!

    03/04/2017 Duración: 58min

There’s some new babies in Stoneybrook this week, and they only thing they love more than Kid Kits is racial purity! That’s right, they’re racist! Like, so awful and racist that it’s almost absurd. Not exactly easy to riff on, but they may be Doll People as well, so at least Ann gave us something to work with. Also, Jackie Rodowsky is starting a band! (When he’s not busy hurtling away from Earth at 99.9% the speed of light on a doomed mission into the cosmos.)    Music Credits:    "Prelude No. 23 in F major” by Steven O’Brien  "Prelude No. 23 performed on an out of tune piano” by Steven O’Brien  "When Memories Break” by BadWabbitz  "Playground Lullaby” by Robert Austin  “You Gotta Have Theremin and Ukulele” by SquidLord  "Space Oddity (Tribute)” by Steven Ondas  “Space Oddity (Cover Version) feat. • BSCC 057 - Jessi's Gold Medal

    27/03/2017 Duración: 01h04min

Ever wanted to be a fly on the wall when a couple of flesh-jobs hooked on Synchro and lurking around the meatspace in the dark alleyways of Roppongi, Tokyo, burble their nonsense-talk to one another? Well, you're in luck today, and wouldn't you know it, they're talking about Baby-Sitters Club #55, "Jessi's Gold Medal"! Mostly. They also have a worrying amount to say about Boat Girls, "The Watcher," and a strange little timewalker called Jackie Rodowsky. But that's just the Synchro talking. Anyway, sorry, we were super jet-lagged for this one and it got pretty weird!   Music credits:  “Dreamland,” by Whitesand  “The Last Frontier,” by Luke West  “Feel the Knife,” by Lionel Schmitt  “Nightwalker,” by Sentient Pulse  “Ultima (Bassketball),” by Binz &Rajangator  “Land of Honor,” by Maxx McGee    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more a

  • BSCC 056 - Mallory and the Dream Horse

    20/03/2017 Duración: 01h04min

This week, Mallory, Jack, and Tanner all dream of horses, and make the mistake of dreaming too small...   "There’s something that we K-PAXians have been around long enough to have discovered. The universe will expand, then it will collapse back on itself, then will expand again. It will repeat this process forever. What you don't you know is that when the universe expands again, everything will be as it is now. Whatever mistakes you make this time around, you will live through on your next pass. Every mistake you make, you will live through again, & again, forever. So my advice to you is to get it right this time around. Because this time is all you have." –Prot, K-PAX    Music Credits: “Pure Swell” by Podington Bear “My Sharona” MIDI  “Where Have All The Cowboys Gone” MIDI  "Back In Time” by YV  “I Need To Start Writing Things Down” by Chris Zabriskie    As always, special thanks to Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://pod

  • BSCC 055 - Kristy for President

    13/03/2017 Duración: 01h04min

The boys sit down for a fascinating and thought-provoking discussion about what the perfect government might be, but things get derailed essentially right out of the gate because Tanner has a cold and also, the attention-span of a fly. So, if you came looking to sink your teeth into some political philosophy, prepare to be disappointed, because this ended up being mostly about where Alan Gray fits on a D&D alignment chart, what Karen Brewer's latest business idea is all about, and why all the boy craziest baby-sitters seem to end up alone. Also, there's a new hidden force in Stoneybrook, and it's the scariest yet.   Music credits: “Heartbreak,” by Bauhinian Vibes  “Klonkey Donkey,” by Nicolai Heidlas Music    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 054 - Mary Anne + 2 Many Babies

    06/03/2017 Duración: 58min

We hit a record-setting number of segments this week, but what do you expect when you’re dealing with 2 MANY BABIES! (We’re still not totally sure what that title is supposed to mean, but don’t worry, we never get around to discussing it.) This week, Mary Anne and Logan get married and kiss in front of their classmates, an egg-napper is on the loose in Stoneybrook, and there may be a new queen ascending who could be the songstress Adele!    Audio Credits:    "Lurking in the Depths" by Grumpy Music  "Horror Creepy Children Shouting" by SoundEffectsFactory  "Glitch Drone FX” by Glitch Noise Effects  "The Wide Drone” by RoyaltyFreeSounds  "Entrance to the Queen of Sheba for Two Oboes, Strings” by Georg Friedrich Händel  “My Sharona” MIDI  “Mad World” MIDI    "bicycle 2D" by Anes & Bateaux  “Savage” by Paul Flint      Thanks to Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn

  • BSCC 053 - Stacey's Ex-Best Friend

    27/02/2017 Duración: 01h02min

Hello and welcome to Blackheads! A hit new show from your friends Jack and Tanner, of the Pete Black Appreciation Society. Today we're diving deep into the mysterious case of Pete's misguided infatuation with Laine Cummings, Stacey McGill's surprisingly awful ex-best friend. Join us for a wide-ranging convo about love, loss, the future of the BSC and, of course, the nightmare haunted dolls who control our every thought and action.  Music credits:    “Easy Things,” by Gee  “Stepping Along the Sky,” by Teknoaxe    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 052 - Dawn’s Big Date

    20/02/2017 Duración: 01h01min

After the long, dark night of the soul, we finally have a New Dawn, Baby Nation. And despite the fact that she looks a little like a late era Axl Rose, she’s captured the attention of a new Bruno named Lewis. Can Dawn escape the thrall of Lewis Bruno? Can Mary-Ann just chill for, like, a second? Can we find Norman Hill a new family? Well, your guess is as good as ours. Tanner had to do a LOT of Googlin’ this week.    Audio credits:  “Trickledown” by Podington Bear  ”Be Together” by Zaza  “Overture” by Lionheart  "My Sharona" MIDI    Special thanks to Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 051 - Claudia and the Genius of Elm Street

    13/02/2017 Duración: 01h46s

Let go of your hearts this week, Baby Nation, and for good measure let go of your heads as well, because this episode is a giant trust fall through space and time into a strange and glorious future. If that worries you, here are some discussion questions to keep you grounded: Is Claudia's art derivative or is she making a deliberate point about the anxiety of influence? Can Janine be stopped before she creates an artificial intelligence that destroys the world? And did you know that when it snows my eyes become large and the light that you shine can't be seen? See you on the other side, Baby Nation!    Audio credits:     “The Son of Blacksmith,” by Charles Chulainn  “The Mysterious World 2,” by Staruss Stuff  “Atoms,” by Spire Wolf  “Don’t Leave Me,” by Lionel Schmitt    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC: Little Sister - Karen’s Kittycat Club

    09/02/2017 Duración: 38min

A very special bonus "Little Sister, Little episode," a phrase which Jack and Tanner utter about 700 times during this particular conversation because, frankly, they would not pass a field sobriety test if the podcast police dropped by during this recording. Luckily, their good buddies Goliath Hardbody and Jason Jasonson are there to keep them on track and bring you an insightful and thought-provoking insider's analysis of Karen Brewer's disruptive new startup, the Kittycat Club.   Music credits:  “Funny Song,” by Royalty Free Music  “Don’t Leave Me,” by Lionel Schmitt --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 050 - Jessi’s Wish

    06/02/2017 Duración: 55min

Difficult episode this week, Baby Nation! And not just because of the subject matter, which is TOUGH, but also because apparently every single airplane in America decided to buzz by Jack’s apartment during this recording session?! Look, this episode is mostly about Jack and Tanner doing their best NOT to talk about childhood cancer, but Ann insisted. Oh well.    Music Credits:  "Arboles" by Podington Bear  “Wren” by Podington Bear  “Haunted” by CO.AG Music  “YO!” by Stratus    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 049 - Mallory on Strike

    30/01/2017 Duración: 58min

There's no easy way of saying this, Baby Nation, but Mallory is over it. She's sick and tired of her abundant chores, the endless parade of babies she's required to sit, and the constant, relentless terror of living in a parallel-universe nightmare town, infested with living dolls, chaos dinosaurs, and as of recently, wolves. Stick around for all of that, as well as a very important PSA from Jack and Tanner about exactly how much time you should be putting in at the office, because some of us may have misunderstood the rules on that one.     Music Credits:    “Triumph of Hope,” by Bausic Productions  “Mary’s Little World,” by Ryan Creep  “Sky,” by PlatinumEDM  “Don’t Leave Me,” by Lionel Schmitt    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 048 - Mary Anne Misses Logan

    23/01/2017 Duración: 58min

We’re considering changing the name of the show to “The Pete Black Club” because we discovered our favorite character in the entire series this week. Here’s all the rad stuff Pete Black did this week: Burned Cokie Mason, worked on his part of the school project, and found a way for Tanner to mention Bread Theory. There’s some other less important characters in this book like Mary Anne and Logan and a toilet monster, but we can’t really remember what they got up to because we were so laser focused on Pete Black’s antics.    Music Credits:  “Detroit" by Podington Bear  "Party Hard” by Mike L  “Constellation" by Podington Bear  “My Sharona” MIDI  Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 047 - Kristy and the Baby Parade

    16/01/2017 Duración: 59min

It's been awhile since we had some good, clean baby-sitting fun, but that's what Kristy always brings to the table, and this "Baby Parade" lark is no different. Sit back, relax, and enjoy what can only be described as a romp, as Kristy Thomas pits baby against baby in a bloody, catastrophic battle for the future of civilization, while Jack and Tanner have a good, old-fashioned gossip sesh about Communism and Killer Dolls.     Music Credits:    “Spooky Ride,” by Twin Musicom  “8-Bit Black Parade,” by 8-Bit Sound  “Electro Upbeat EDM,” by Metro  “Red Army Choir Russian National Anthem,” by Yurttan Haberler    Thanks as always to original Baby Boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and to Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. • BSCC 046 - Dawn and the Big Sleepover

    09/01/2017 Duración: 52min

Have the boys got a special treat for you, Baby Nation! Did you know that Jack and Tanner are actually officials with the Parisian government? It’s true! And they have an opportunity of a lifetime for you. For just 500,000 Francs, you can buy the rights to all the scrap metal on the Eiffel Tower to do with what you please. DO NOT PASS UP THIS CHANCE, BABY NATION!    Music Credits:  “Meditation” by Joshua Messick  "Tomorrow Comes" by Dana Boulé  "You Gotta Have Theremin and Ukulele” by SquidLord  "Invincible” by Deaf Kev  “Starling" by Podington Bear    Thanks, as always, to original baby boy Scott Lamb for the intro music, and Superbrat for the outro music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices. Another very special bonus mini-episode hosted by the great Tanner Daniel Greenring! Jack is also present. This week, the boys are discussing "Karen's Worst Day," a terrifying thought experiment by Ann M. Martin about a world in which literally everything goes horrifyingly, irrevocably wrong.   Music credits:  “Intense Suspense,” by Audionatix --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jack-shepherd8/support Learn more about your ad choices.
