Being asked for money can really grate on your nerves after a while, but to those who cultivate habits of generosity seem to have the largest gifts of compassion and joy. Today we will look at why that is.

Pastor Colin will be bringing us the word from Malachi 2:17-3:5 Sometimes it is hard to break the cycle of being cynical, but Malachi helps point us into patters that lead to a better outlook in life.

When we forget the reasons and the why behind our decisions and motivations, we lose touch with reality and the design for living. God invites us to remember that He made us and we belong with Him.

One of the most difficult characteristics is consistent integrity. Especially when it comes to being an example of God's love to others.

God desires us to be fully committed to Him, He values our honest devotion above our obligations.

There are things in life we can do on autopilot after a while, but relationships are not one of them. 

How much service for God is enough? How effective are you in your love for Him? A posture of "life for God" gets trapped finding their value by doing enough or being successful in the mission to serve God.

What's in it for you to follow God? One way of relating to God is just to be blessed by His gifts... but not be in a deep relationship with Him. We will look at two ways that are better for relating to Him.

Have you had times where your tried and true methods suddenly didn't work? Today's posture of relating to God is one that is easy to fall prey to, but one that we can easily recognize ways of leaving behind.  

Have you had moments where your faith felt dry? When your walk with God has felt like it has fallen off a cliff or gotten confusing? The next 4 weeks we will be talking through unhealthy ways of relating to God and how God designed us to relate to Him.

Judas judged Jesus to be worth very little, but it cost Judas more than he ever expected. In our own lives, from time to time it is great to ask what Jesus is worth to us.

How do we measure love? And can a person possibly offer true love to another without expecting a return? This is what one woman does towards Jesus with her extravagant acts of love.

Some conversations are more important than others. In Jesus' final week on earth, He speaks with the religious elites at the temple and redirects them to the conversation worth having.
