The World Bank lends money to help developing nations by working with governments. An important part of the World Bank called the IFC works with the private sector to find solutions to the problems caused by climate change as well as long term poverty and health issues. The IFC also works with a slew of Irish companies. Joe was joined on the show by Emmanuel Nyirinkindi who is IFC’s Vice President of Cross-Cutting Solutions.

Sams Barbers have a chain of seven salons throughout Ireland and also they run coffee shops. It's boss Sam Donnelly, is the fourth generation of his family to run the business and he has a lot to say about incentives and benefits being paid in Ireland.

According to the global recruiters Indeed, Ireland is the 5th best place in Europe to work - behind Luxembourg, Switzerland, Britain, and Germany. But with rampant inflation, high personal taxes and hardly anywhere to live, does Ireland deserve to be 5th? To discuss Joe spoke to Jack Kennedy Economist at Indeed and Seán Healy from Social Justice Ireland.

The government has announced a new multi-million Euro package to support digital start-ups in Ireland. It comes as Ireland becomes increasingly dependent on technology companies for tax revenue. Some even say that Ireland should set aside a sovereign wealth fund to take advantage of the corporation tax windfall from tech giants here which may dwindle or even disappear in the future. Others say that the IDA should no longer actively seek new jobs for Dublin because it’s full up.
