On todays show Tim and Julie Harris will cut through the fog and help you understand exactly what coaching is and what coaching isn't. Coaching is not the same as training. Training is a one-way process where someone tells you what to do, and then you are left to figure out how to do it. For example, your broker, team leader, or office manager might tell you that you need more leads and suggest that you try buying some. They may give you a few pointers, but ultimately, you are on your own to figure out the rest. Coaching is also not the same as mentoring. While both coaching and mentoring involve one person helping another to achieve their goals, the two processes differ in their approach. Mentors typically have more experience and knowledge than their mentees and are often in a position to provide advice and guidance based on their own experiences. Coaching, on the other hand, focuses on helping the individu
