National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on The Al Rantel Show (with John Phillips as the fill-in host) TalkRadio 790 KABC, in Los Angeles, California, on May 12, 2009. Days earlier, on May 6, 2009, Mark Henkel's home state of Maine had become the 5th State to formally legalize same sex marriage in law. (NOTE: thatMaine law was subsequently repealed by a "People's Veto" referendum vote, later in the year, on November 3, 2009.) The show's namesake host, who had been known as a public "gay conservative," had been out, due to severe medical issues. This interview took place in the month before the namesake host formally retired altogether. The fill-in host asked many good questions as well as some stereotypical and silly questions.
