In 1978 a lot of people queued for the Last Night of the Proms, a truly British  activity. But now the overnight queuing has been banned and the day queue only lasts for a few hours, not weeks. This is a record of the queue from back then - including an interview with Richard Baker - the BBC news and music man. RIP.
