The MK12 / Special Purpose Rifle was instrumental to the development of most modern accurized AR pattern rifles. What many now call the "SPR" or "RECCE Rifle" comes from a long lineage of research and development within the US Special Operations community. The MK12 has a rich history and helped to progress the AR15 into what is it today.  In this episode we are joined by "Brown Rocket Actual" to discuss the history and concepts behind the MK12 SPR, and how it is still a viable platform today.
