Scott McConnell joins us for the second time on the podcast to discuss a whole range of issues affecting the Northern Territory. When we last spoke to Scott he was the independent member for Stuart (now known as Gwoja). On this episode Scott canvasses many of the issues that directly affect indigenous Australians on a day to day basis. Scott is one of the most qualified people to discuss the issues affecting the Northern Territory as he has spent his whole life in the NT. In addition, he has truly walked in both worlds throughout his life. Born in Alice Springs and raised in Willowra in an aboriginal community Scott recollects fondly his upbringing where he learnt a lot from aboriginal elders who were running the cattle station he lived on. A term in Territory politics taught him a lot about the machinations of the political system in the NT and particularly how the parties operate.
