If everything is racism nothing is racism. CBS This Morning featured an interview with Colin Kaepernick about his new, graphic novel. Even this quick clip we play us fascinating; we learn about Colin Kaepernick’s white parents--they are racially problematic and CBS defines “Blackness” through Kaepernick’s change in attitude he went through as a teenage boy through which he could have grown rather than regressed. But, what I found most instructive was the theme CBS sees in Kaepernick’s book . . . a theme I fail to see fulfilled.Sadly, we can turn to the L.A. times to get a dose of true racism: the tailpipes of cars and that bit of blather is a perfect compliment to the theme CBS somehow found in Kaepernick’s book. We conservatives better get something clear about the topic of race and this is the Mockingbirds will manufacture it even when it’s not selling.
