In this five-week series on the book of Philippians, we will learn about the ability to choose a life of joy. Whatever the circumstances, Paul had learned to be content, finding real joy as he focused all of his attention and energy on knowing Christ and living a life that honours Him. This week we will focus on an overview of the book of Philippians from Paul’s statement in Philippians 4:4. This verse sums up the entire purpose of the book and the summation of what he has learned through his long life: Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
