How many times have you heard someone say, "The Bible is not relevant for today's culture? It doesn't relate to where we are at in our society and is no longer pertinent to our world." Just read the book of 1 Corinthians and you will find that isn't the case at all. It is up-to-date, current and very relevant. Most of the issues we face today were faced by the Corinthians. Although the world has changed a lot since it was first written the same truths remain. The issues are imbedded in philosophy, humanism, divisions in the church, sexual immorality in and out of the church, marriage, divorce, being single, relationships between men and women, questionable practices (grey areas), gender roles in the church, homosexuality and the bottom line of love.
