When the disciples were in the fourth watch of the night, rowing against the wind, they were straining. They had gotten to a point where they were getting tired, they were getting weary, they were wondering when it would stop, when the wind would stop being contrary against them. They were only in the middle of the lake. They were only in the middle of the challenge, a trial. Are you in the middle of a trial? Are your arms getting tired of straining against the wind? Are you thinking to yourself, “I just need a miracle for this to end, I don’t have anything left to keep rowing.” What if, that door you’ve said couldn’t be the miracle of your deliverance, whether it was out of fear or it looked scary to you, is actually God trying to give you that miracle? That thing that you are straining against, that miracle you’re waiting for, God sees you straining.
