And this particular parable departs from our usual understanding of a story to tell a single lesson to one that is full of character exploration and rich meanings. The older brother is "lost" while still at home and the younger brother is "lost" in a more traditional sense. And the younger one seems to be the one who becomes "found." What was the difference?
