Sinopsis

Following yesterday's conversation with B.C. father Greg Sword who's 14-year-old daughter died of a drug overdose, today it is a British Columbia businesswoman's fight against decriminalization of illicit drugs and the 'safer drugs' program. She has faced discrimination from the provincial government, when walking her 10- and 12-year-old children has been subjected to half peace sign (in duplicate) from passersby. Her business has been boycotted (restaurant/bar) and writes to me: "I see so many people muzzled to speak and I see why businesses do not. This has been an awful experience. I would not wish it on anyone." And: A caller from Penticton B.C. who works with the unhoused community takes us through the impact of drug decriminalization from his perspective. Guest: Tanya Finley. In addition to being a business owner with more than 40 employees she is an active volunteer with the Nelson, B.C. Chamber of Commerce and Nelson police foundation.
