Paramount’s shares have consequently dropped by more than 8%. The decision to end the talks comes after a sales process that many in the industry have described as chaotic. Away from showbiz, Mexico is grappling with their currency value after the country elected its first female president Claudia Sheinbaum. Her controversial plans to overhaul the judiciary by directly electing top judges has caused the peso to fall 2% against the dollar.
