Last November, Australia’s federal parliament passed a law banning children under 16 from using social media, making it the first country worldwide to introduce such a measure. The law, which is said to be implemented by the end of this year, has sparked controversies throughout the country. Nepali children from Melbourne and Sydney, as well as parents and psychiatrist Dr Anupam Pokharel, spoke to SBS Nepali about the possible impacts of this legislation.
