In Episode 002 of the Enjoy Seattle Podcast, Sally interviews Ryan, a Seattle-transplant from South Africa. With family roots in France and Madagascar, it was a long road but an easy choice for Ryan's family to make Washington home.  Ryan ran away from Washington many times. But it wasn't the Starbucks siren that called him back. It was the sacrifice his parents made to move he and his brother to Washington in hopes of a better future.  Ryan names his favorite neighborhood in Seattle and gives good reason why you should visit despite the Seattle Freeze.
