This Monday don't miss LA TALK RADIO'S ACCENT ON! with host ILONA EUROPA and WLODEK PAWLIK this year GRAMMY AWARD winning pianist and composer. On January 26th 2014, during the very emotional evening, Wlodek Pawlik received GRAMMY statue for The Best Large Jazz Ensamble Album "NIGHT IN CALISIA", which is the first GRAMMY for polish jazz artist ever. Wlodek will connect with Accent ON! via Skype calling to studio live from Poland. We will be listening to music from the album. Wlodek Pawlik is a graduate of the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw where he completed his classical piano class under the direction of Barbara Hesse-Bukowska in 1984. He also studied jazz composition, theory and arrangement at the Hochschule fur Music in Hamburg (Germany) graduating in 1990. He won many music competition's prizes including the first place in instrumentalist category at the International Jazz Competition in Dunkirk (France, 1984) and a second place at the International Composers' Competition in Monaco
