Barbara Velazquez, Ph.D. is the founder and President of the Spiritual Unity Network (SUN), a non-profit, organization whose goal is to assist in a transformation of human values and the creation of a better world. She also spearheaded the founding of the Taskforce for Humanity Coalition whose purpose is to encourage the progressive community to work together in shared purpose and mutual empowerment. She is on the boards of Worldwide Renaissance, and Voices Around the World. Dr. Velazquez is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice and has been an adjunct professor at the College of St Elizabeth and at Kean University. In addition, she has worked as a Grant Writer/Administrator at the Youth Development Clinic in Newark. Past president of the Surya Theosophical Study Center, Dr. Velazquez is also a teacher of the Ageless Wisdom Tradition.
