Loud Murmurs

Today, the four hosts of Loud Murmurs discuss a rather serious subject: pop culture in the age of the #MeToo movement. We start with the anti-sexual harassment movement in Hollywood, to how #MeToo has spread from the west to the east and how it takes form on China's social media. We look at the movies and TV shows we've consumed and re-examined bits and pieces of our pop culture that no longer fits in with how gender powers are defined across the world. Last but not least -- Chuck Bass looks like a young Khrushchev? 今天小声喧哗的四位主播聊了一个沉重的话题：性侵。我们从好莱坞的反性侵运动开始，聊到了中国最近网络上风起云涌的me too运动。 我们少年时代摄入的文化产品里，关于爱情的片段既是我们对爱情向往的投射，也在塑造着我们与异性交往的范式和预期。没有人怀疑过强暴是应当被谴责的；但是下面这些片段构成了我们对于爱情的幻象的很大一个部分，把性骚扰、性侵当做“浪漫”也是流行文化中屡见不鲜的元素： 《流星花园》里道明寺甩了女主满身的盒饭，并且把她按在墙角撕掉她的衣服强吻（编者案：我们小时候都看了些啥……）。 《海贼王》里的娜美出场总会被袭胸，袭胸的对象包括老人和小男孩。 《绯闻女孩》里Chuck Bass在天台上强吻高一的女孩被撞破。 《BJ日记》里作为上司的Huge Grant给员工Bridget在工作时间发邮件，评论她的短裙和上衣。 《银翼杀手》里Rick Deckard将闪避他的索吻的Rachael按到窗上说：“说‘吻我’”。 《007金手指》里James Bond将邦女郎用蛮力掀翻在谷仓里，并与她发生关系。 我们重新审视了当代文化产品中不再符合新的性别观的片段，并借此讨论了me too国内外一些关注度
