This is Beyond the Airwaves: The Infinity Project, where we go beyond the mainstream media and tackle issues that don't seem so important to the major networks. In this edition of Food Fascinations, we'll talk about the restaurant chains we grew up with but no longer exist today, such as Howard Johnson's, Ponderosa, Bonanza, Bob's Big Boy, and Kenny Rogers Roasters. Some just couldn't take the competition, one had an owner arrested for sexual abuse, and another couldn't recover after a Hepatitis A outbreak.
