Blunt discussion talks to Harlem native, John Gilstrap, Chief Operating Officer of Hudson Hemp Co/Treaty Botanicals. Hudson Hemp is an association of farmers located in New York’s Hudson Valley. They focus on regenerative agriculture and soil science to cultivate our organic sun grown hemp. They partner with leaders in the industry to process their harvest into top quality hemp oil distillate and isolate. John has over 25 years of experience in the private and public sector. John served as special adviser to New York Governor Cuomo’s Small Farmer task force for 2 years in his former role as EVP of Business Development for New York State. Previous positions include Vice President at JP Morgan Chase Bank UK, Senior Director Marketing at Time Warner Music Group, Senior Vice President at Mercury Public Strategies LLC and CEO / Founder of UBM, Inc a property management business in NYC. He holds a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College, and MBA in Management of Organizations/Marketing from Columbia Business School.
