For many of us, we are just now coming into the celebration and appreciation of our Blackness. This includes our dialect, our hair, our faith, and the entirety of our culture. But this revelation was decades in the making, and it is not coming easy. Many of us are still forced to fight against internalized oppression which is a result of centuries of racism.
