Whether I knew it or not, at one point in my life, I believed my value as woman shifted because of what I could do for a man - whether it was to “upgrade him” “be his peace” or “hold it down.” And that was probably one thee most damaging beliefs I didn’t know I had. At one point, I honestly believed that I needed to be all the things that a man desired to be valuable. I even held that harmful standard for other women. So this week, I'm sharing how my role oppressive relationships harmed myself and harmed others.
