In Luke 15, Jesus shares a story about a shepherd that leaves his entire flock of sheep when one goes missing. The shepherd valued the one lost sheep so highly, that he left the whole group of 99 to find the one that wandered off. Over the past 50 years, God has been faithful. As we move forward, we know He is going to continue to be faithful, and we are excited to be a part of His plan for this community. We all have a story. While there are probably many moments filled with joy and happy memories, we all have those deep, dark corners of our lives that cause pain or shame. The beauty of the Gospel is that it can meet you wherever you're at in life. You'll find peace and healing, and be empowered to live out the purpose He created you for!

Easter represents so much more than chocolate bunnies and eggs. It's about freedom, grace and relationship. The cross changed everything, and it's for you. What's your vantage point?

Following Jesus isn't about just "becoming" a Christian. It's about embracing the purpose you were created for and choosing to follow Jesus. In Part Two of "Vantage Points" we take a look at a man named Simon of Cyrene. Simon was seemingly unimportant.. randomly picked out of a crowd and forced to carry the cross to the crucifixion. But, was this moment more significant? Was this a moment that changed Simon's life forever?

How do you view the Cross? Is it just a religious symbol that hangs on the wall or is it the scene of something that changed the course of humanity forever? For many of us, we've approached the Cross with shame or fear of judgement. As we take a look at the story of Barabbas, we see a man guilty of treason and murder. But, as his story intersects with Jesus, He is set free in exchange for the life of someone completely innocent. Don't ever think your guilt cannot stand in the presence of grace. It's what He paid for!

An encounter with God can radically change your life. Maybe you need the Power of God to heal a sickness or you need to experience His peace in a situation that feels overwhelming. The good news is, you can encounter God anywhere at any time!

One of our main goals as a church is to help you discover your purpose and live the abundant life God has in store for you. The Church isn't made up of just the pastor and staff. The Church is YOU. God placed specific gifts and abilities inside of you to help build His Kingdom. What can you do to make a difference with your life today?
