"Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the people of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine." Aaron lights the seven lamps of the golden lampstand, illuminating the holy place where priests serve. The longest chapter in the Torah reads like a divine receipt, recording the identical offerings of twelve tribal leaders over twelve days. To our modern ears, this repetition can sound like a broken record, a tedious list of ancient gifts. But in God's economy, this repetition is a profound declaration of the Gospel. It proclaims that each tribe, each leader, each individual gift is seen, known, and precious in His sight. This chapter demonstrates that a people purified by God's blessing respond with their best, and in turn, they receive the greatest gift of all: God's voice speaking peace from the mercy seat.  The Rev. What does it mean when society begins to fear the very technology it creates?
