Easton Target Archery Podcast

The trucks are loaded, the archers are gearing up, and it's finally happening- the live Vegas Shoot Championship is on in one week.   Bruce Cull and Brittany Salonen of the NFAA give us the very latest information, as the final preparations are underway for the brightest spot in shooting for the past 14 months.  We also get an update on the ongoing Virtual Vegas flight shoot, involving over 2500 shooters worldwide.

George talks with World Archery Events Director Thomas Aubert from his office in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he is currently managing the largest virtual archery event in history.  They cover what it takes to pull off an event of this magnitude, then look at the latest on scheduled live events for the next few months, leading to the final qualifier for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.    Later in the show, Easton's Clint Warner joins us for insider information on how archery activity and sales around the world have been surprisingly boosted by the circumstances of Covid, and talk about the newest Easton arrows shipping around the world for the past few weeks.  

World Champion and Olympic Medalist Brady Ellison has bravely decided to go public with the story of how he - through no fault of his own- tested positive for a banned substance in an October random drug test.   His total exoneration this week meant he and USADA, the US Anti-Doping Agency, had no obligation to make any kind of announcement- but Brady asked for a public statement, and now he is on a mission, working with World Archery to help other archers avoid the unbelievable circumstances that caused him and his family devastating stress for nearly two months.  

New rule changes just implemented by World Archery, and an update on both virtual and live archery competition around the world are highlights in George's interview with Tom Dielen, Secretary General of World Archery. The latest on the Tokyo Olympic Games is also on the agenda for this information-packed episode.
