After much hoopla, here are my 20 greatest MCs of all-time. This list has been curated and cultivated for weeks now and I’m finally happy enough to deliver the only results you’ll need for the rest of your life. 31 MCs are mentioned; 11 honorable mentions and the 20 greatest MCs of all-time. If anything, my list is better than that Kool Moe Dee book he put out in 2003. Never trust a book when the author’s name isn’t even spelled correctly on the book. What MC made the list that will piss everybody off? Everyone has somebody they can’t stand. This is the DEFINITIVE list of the greatest MCs of all-time. Spoilers: Eminem is #1. I hate fantasy football. I lost 5 players to injury in Week 4 and I have 4 players with byes this week. I should have taken that year off. And Derek Carr and the Raiders got hit with some cheese that could doom one of our last seasons in Oakland. After I cry for a little bit, I revisit my time back at U92 for their 35th anniversary. I take some time to memorialize Tom Petty and break down the good and bad of Hugh Hefner’s 91 years. I accidentally think I caught my neighbors going at it in their living room but I don’t say that before I give my opinion on the tragedy in Las Vegas. I rant about how Ross didn’t deserve Rachel and then finally admit that I’m one of those old rap fans. Back from a solo hiatus, THE WORLD’S GREATEST PODCAST touches down with great authority. Wasting no time, I announced the formation of the Hyphen Podcast Group, a new Morgantown, WV based podcast collective. From there, I deal with all of ESPN’s problems this summer including their most recent issues with how they’ve dealt with Jemele Hill sounding off on Donald. I get into a little WWE action as I go back and forth about whether becoming a cord cutter was worth it, all while previewing this Sunday’s No Mercy PPV. I segue into how I’d like to see a black WWE Champion sometime in my lifetime before I get into the true reasons why THE WORLD’S GREATEST PODCAST took an unintentional hiatus. The real is back. I took to Twitter to defend the honor of Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly recently. I was told in no uncertain terms that the gentleman who I defended TPAB against was coming to discuss this issue at length on THE WORLD’S GREATEST PODCAST. That gentleman happened to be Marcus ShowinmadLov Robinson, sponsor of the show through his own website themarcrob dot wordpress dot com, so I was more than happy to oblige. He brought beer. We started talking. We eventually got down to our sides of the TPAB/DAMN. argument. We delved into the Drake side of things at length. There may be long musical interludes. After a PSA, I talk about why awards shows matter when they really shouldn't, I discuss how I may be the softest podcast host out after how I reacted to Logan, I try to remind everyone that X2 was really, really good, and I ask if there's a point where I have to get out of the superhero film game as the cast ages out. I also make sure to keep my top hater status intact and I almost make it the entire show without mentioning a certain Mrs. Carter. I have to admit for someone who would probably be weak in the knees if I met her in person, I sure have a lot of problems with the pedestal that Beyonce puts herself on and an even bigger problem with the larger pedestal that her adoring public puts her on. With that said, I talk about her loss at the Grammys, how Moonlight was robbed of its moment by a distracted gentleman tweeting photos of Emma Stone at the Oscars, how the Academy doesn't want Denzel to be great, and why Eddie Murphy was robbed years before this. As the fantasy football playoffs arrive, I renew my vow to take next season off. I don't care, I don't care. Then I make sure everyone knows how I hate all things involving the Golden State Warriors, even Steph. I don't care, I don't care. I take the time to explain how much the word "trash" means to me in my everyday life. For example: the Kansas City Chiefs are trash. I don't care, I don't care. My struggles with giving up fast food continue, mostly because I continue to eat fast food. I rewatched Home Alone 2 for the first time since childhood and I realize it too is trash. My third official guest joins me for the 25th edition of THE WORLD'S GREATEST PODCAST. While on a family trip to Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, WV, I hauled my podcast equipment with us so I could have one of my best friends/sister-in-law Nikki Cannon on the show. We discussed a variety of topics with most of them coming back to musicals (Rent, Wicked, and Idina Menzel mostly). Nikki also gave her opinions on the election since politics is her life and she weighed in on Hillary and managed to put a very positive spin on our President-Elect. I weighed in on a half a bottle of pinot grigio. After 7 seasons of constant misery, The Walking Dead may have finally worn out its welcome. Despite the Emmy worthy performance of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, I'm quickly losing interest in one of my favorite shows. And speaking of losing interest, I'm completely off the ride that is Kanye West. Dehydration and sleep deprivation my left foot. I share a tale of the time I got in trouble for my next door neighbor in high school and deal a little with #BoycottHamilton and what's going on with Cyclops in the comic books. I also get really excited about Goldberg and make it clear that I'm all about that Indiana Jones life. In June, for the second straight season, the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers faced off for the NBA Championship. After a record breaking 73 win season, the Warriors mostly dominated the first 4 games of the series to take a 3-1 lead, heading back to Oakland for Game 5. From there, the Cavaliers were able to win 3 straight, including 2 wins in Oakland to win their first NBA Championship and the first major championship for Cleveland since 1964. Since I’ve known him, Eric Jordan has always been one of the biggest Cleveland fans I know. As soon as Game 7 was over, I knew I had to get him on the show to talk about the biggest event in Cleveland sports history.
