  • Do Not Lead Us Into Temptation

    10/09/2023 Duración: 34min

Reader: Graeme Miller Preacher: Peter Adam Music: Leslie Edis Over the next four weeks, Dr Peter Adam is exploring the Lord's Prayer, from Matthew 6. Today is week 4 and Peter concludes this series by focussing on verse 13 ("And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one"). Peter teaches that God honours us with this prayer by not leading us be tempted or pur through trials that we cannot handle. He show this by referring to the Book of Job, where Job was placed under many trials by Satan, but Job never cursed God for his sufferings - God placed limits on Satan's attacks so that Job would not betray his God. God knew Job would pass the test as He says many times "Do you see my faithful servant Job?". Similarly, God will not put us into positions that we cannot handle. 03/09/2023 Duración: 54min

Reader: Judy Carr Preacher: Peter Adam Music: Red Door Band Over the next four weeks, Dr Peter Adam is exploring the Lord's Prayer, from Matthew 6. Today is week 3 and Peter focuses on how God has forgivien our debts (ie sins) and how we should respond accordingly ("For us our debts as we have forgiven our debtors"). When we recognise our sins, we need to reflect on whether we are truly sorry or not and examine what we will do in response. Peter challenges us with how we should respond. • Give Us Today Our Daily Bread

    27/08/2023 Duración: 36min

Reader: James Truong Preacher: Peter Adam Music: Leslie Edis Over the next four weeks, Dr Peter Adam is exploring the Lord's Prayer, from Matthew 6. Today is week 2 and Peter focuses on how God provides ALL of our needs ("Give us today our daily breead"). God provides the very breath we have, yet it is something we take for granted. In Wester Society we are blessed with abundance, and this can make us complacent - we do not need to pray to God on a daily basis to provide us with our next meal, unlike many others in the world. Peter challenges us with this thought. Red Door is an Anglican Church in Melbourne, Australia. We exist to be a community of people helping people make all of life all about Jesus.

  • Who Can Stand?

    17/07/2023 Duración: 59min

Readers: Gehan, Mel & Tib Preacher: Jonathan Smith Music: Josh Henessey Week 6 begins part 2 of the study of the Book Of Revelation. Today's message covers chapters 6, 7 and 8:1-5 - the seven seals. In summary, this section of Revelation asks the question 'Who can stand in the presence of the Holy God?' • Scarcity Vs Abundance

    10/07/2023 Duración: 47min

Preacher: Jonathan Smith Reader: John Hargrave Today Pastor Jonathan examines two world views where he compares a view of scarcity against a view of abundance. Our nature is to always think that we're lacking something, that our lives would be fulfilled if we had the "next great thing", whereas, the abundance world view shows us that God has provided abundantly for our needs. We just need to thank him for what he's provided to us. Red Door is an Anglican Church in Melbourne, Australia. We exist to be a community of people helping people make all of life all about Jesus.

The overwhelming message to all churches today is the same - are we standing in the areas where Jesus wants us to be standing, or are we compromising in our stance or in his teaching? The one thing Jesus cannot tolerate is false teachings. We need to be honest and reflect both corporately and individually on where we fail our Lord.
