Melbourne-based Nepali soccer club Yeti FC is celebrating its Silver Jubilee in 2026. Sajjan Sharma, the club’s President, spoke to SBS Nepali about the club’s journey, which began in 2001. Nepal women’s kabaddi captain Manmati Bista says winning bronze at the 2026 Asian Beach Games was a proud moment for the team. Despite coming from a landlocked country with limited exposure to beach sports, Nepal impressed in the women’s beach kabaddi event held in China. A new tax cut is part of this year's federal budget — but it won't arrive right away. Treasurer Jim Chalmers has centred his fifth budget around "a hard road of reform", which includes reducing several tax discounts for property investors and trust beneficiaries.
