A crazy week of news in the wrestling world occupies Mav and 'Plan this week. They begin by breaking down the domino effect of Omega/Jericho on WWE booking, move on to the end of Jinder Mahal's reign of boredom, and then onto the other changes to the Survivor Series card, including the set up for a potential dream match of stables (or is it?). This week, The Doc rejoices over AJ Styles rescuing the WWE Championship from the depths of mediocrity-laden despair, highlighting what the victory means for WWE in the near future, presuming the result holds; of course, if the result doesn't hold, then expect more #HeelDoc fueled by the apathy of the most average WWE Champ in history, Jinder Mahal.  Also, Doc discusses what has been and will continue to be a strange build to Survivor Series, perhaps the quintessential example in modern WWE lore of the phrase "card subject to change."  Finally, he dives back into a topic that organically began last week, comparing WWE to sports fandom, looking at WWE's hypothetical "win-loss record" as if it were a college football program, and attempting to use the comparison to help better contextualize why the current fanbase is so jaded (though not as jaded as it was 24 hours ago when WWE was still committed to its Jinder project).

With the build to Survivor Series well underway, Mav and 'Plan take a look back at four of their favourite overlooked Survivor Series traditional elimination matches, or as they like to call them, their "hipster picks"! Expect some love for the storytelling chops of Jake Roberts during the early days of the PPV, a unique version of the gimmick from the New Gen, a forgotten classic sandwiched between the first brand extension's undisputed classics, and a fun match from the doldrum days before the Reality Era really took off, plus an epic rant about part timers from 'Plan and a lot of tangents!

WCW: The Legacy Series - Starrcade '98

Following last week's effort being railroaded by WWE being forced to change TLC plans at the eleventh hour, Mav and 'Plan reflect on a chaotic and brilliantly fun reconstituted main event and a midcard MOTY contender, before reflecting on Asuka's main roster debut and coming back to their long held theory that pay-per-views with lots of "quite good" on are the way to go. They then pivot into the first shots being fired in the inter brand Survivor Series war. Spoiler alert: the TRSOTP boys loved it, and defend the angle wholeheartedly! As always there will be banter and tangents aplenty!
