Jesus gives us a compelling vision for the mission of the church. As we participate with the church community to reach others for Christ, we are raiders going behind enemy lines to bring people out of hell and into eternal life.

Jesus leads us to get past being a burden to others and motivates with a vision that compels us to give our resources to others and His cause.

Paul makes a statement of his overall goal in life – “that I may know Christ and the power of His resurrection” and then he takes personal ownership of that goal. In the entire passage, he lays out a template of what is required to accomplish the vision God has for us.

To encourage the 50’s – 60’s+ to keep relying on God and use their influence and wisdom to invest in and train the younger generations.

Encourage the 40’s to bear up under the intense pressure that comes in mid life. Keeping a resolute and upbeat focus on God can be quite a challenge in these difficult years where stress is high and resources are lean.

To encourage people to focus on steady and careful obedience. There is a right way to develop leadership and influence; to be faithful with your current responsibilities and stewardships. The future will grow out of what you are building in the present. Build carefully on the perspective given in the Bible.

To encourage the 20’s to aggressively pursue their training now and not delay while waiting for the perfect conditions and timing.

The underlying idea is “why can’t TED have what he wants!?” The premise is “Legalize Ted” and the idea is Ted shouldn’t be discriminated against.

The idea of survival and individualism is the major theme. The premise of “survival” is not entirely bad, but in Terminator, there is no God. Survival is completely dependent on human ability to fight and out maneuver “Artificial Intelligence.”

The movie seems to be focusing on the tension in the emotions between joy and sadness, yet the overarching theme behind this is how to navigate your emotions/heart (or at least what impacts your heart). "Follow Your Heart" is really a pull to trust in your feelings, gut, intuition, conscience.

“Follow Your Dream” appears in many movies. It shows up in the form of not giving up and pursuing your dreams and passions no matter what. Problem is that not every dream is worth following and some dreams may not fit us.

The whole Entourage enterprise hinges on this group of men who stick together as they discover fame and fortune together. Their general approach they have to each decision is how much fun, fame, pleasure can be gained by each choice.

God doesn’t want His people to be isolated from the world or infiltrated by it – he wants us to be insulated from cultural ideas and values that will translate into harmful attitudes and actions.

What does the Bible say about getting promoted? The key to getting promoted is humility. It is completely backwards from our culture. think we need to promote ourselves so we don’t get passed over for the promotion at work.

This message will focus on the motive behind who we work for. The motive behind our service is the reward and punishment that we receive from the Lord.

There is a way to go about our work that brings success and blessing from God. One of the principles that you find in scripture that comes up over and over again is “working wholeheartedly.” Working wholeheartedly means to heartily work with kindness and good will.

What is work? Work is not just a job or career. Work is the responsibilities that we have on our plate. having the right perspective on what work is sets us up for success.

When people suffer hardships or see the horrible things that evil people do, they question the goodness of God. In this message we will show how a God who created the universe and allows evil can be good.

To many, the Bible is confusing and irrelevant. The Bible claims to be God’s word to us, why should I trust its claim? We will provide solid reasons to believe that the Bible is God’s Word and how taking it seriously is a real advantage in life.

Christians seem so narrow minded, like they have it all figured out. Why are they so arrogant in this way? Jesus Himself claimed to be the “only way” to God, this leaves Christians or anyone else the option of completely accepting or rejecting Him.
