This week headlight actuator motors occupy the boys once again, with Chris still fighting for a solution to the non-working headlight doors in his vintage Chrysler. The intrinsic value an owner's manual can have for a used car buyer is discussed, then the talk turns to catalytic converter theft & how to prevent it from happening to you. Racing lawn movers, scrap metal value & the new line of Matco breast cancer awareness products round out this hour of fun.

The boys convey their love for the "Boatail" Riviera from the 70's then turn their attention to cars they've owned but don't have pictures of, like Ray's Escort GT. That car brings up the lost art of flat towing & its dangers. Carl Anthony from Automoblog.net joins the show and talks about the parts supply chain, new car telemetrics, and asks, "Who's the F&I guy?" The current line of Escort radar detectors finishes up this hour of fun.

This show starts with Ray's rant over having to pay return shipping on brake caliper cores, but things calm down when caller Paul reports on the Englishtown swap meet and his "Top 10 Best" show award. Electrical system and axle failures get some coverage, then the high tech topic of "Hydro-Dipping" car parts is discussed.

The boys talk about the high honor bestowed on Ray's GTO at the MALBA show where it won the "Best Engineering" award, then Tony DeFeo from "Uncle Tony's Garage" YouTube channel calls in to talk shop. Besides his Slant 6 racer, Slant 6 Miata and the other car builds Tony has going on, the guys still find a way to sneak in their love of Pork Bracioli - you'll only hear segues like this on MotorMouth radio folks!

Since Ray brought his recently finished GTO to this years MALBA car show the boys decided what better way to commemorate the event than by re-playing the show they did a live remote from. Back in 2018 Ray & Joe had the pleasure of sitting with Marty Schorr of Motion Performance fame at this prestigious car show by the bay. An unexpected appearance from "Dartboard Laura" made this event one to remember.

The boys are back on track with some hardcore automotive diagnostics and advice this week. Kicking off the fun is talk of why you should insure a project car even ifits not going to see the road for a few years or more. Chris reports that changing the starterrelay in his Le Baron solved the no-start problem, then Ray talked about how the wrong use of Never-Seize can turn a guy into a Tin Man clone. Sharing cars with friends dredges up some old stories, and a caller rounds out the show by asking how to test and diagnose a starter relay.

Chris' Chrysler Le Baron has a frustrating starting problem that leads to the boys taking about electrical appliance service life and failures. Joe D. calls in to recommend that the starter relay be checked before anything else is done to the Le Baron, then the talk turns to Chris' failed pressure washer and how to revive it.

Broadcasting remotely due to the hurricane that wasn't, our boys cover all sorts of car issues this week. An expensive 67 Caddy water pump, a 69 Corvette carburetor problem and an 83 Le Baron carb rebuild keep them busy, then to top it off a caller talks about tuning a 74 Mazda rotary carb! Carbs of another sort take over when ray claims he had real NY style pizza in N. Carolina, and tells you where to get it too.

Our intrepid trio kick the show off by asking "what song will you stop at a yellow light to hear", compare smooth fuel injection to a Quadrajet surge, then hear from a caller with an auto show recap. Poor Chrysler build quality, a P.T. Cruiser that won't accept fuel on a fill up & an odd combo of carburetors on a Rat Rod round out the show.

The boys talk about what the best type of rental car is for a long trip,then field a question about a Volvo SUV choice. Japanese vs European car picks arediscussed, then the show gets charged up as the talk turns to electric vehicles,Tesla charging stations & the pros & cons of owning a battery powered car.

This weeks question has been posed; "we know it sucks, but doesit blow too?" That's what a caller asked Mr. Jeff Craig from SKF, the makers of the MityVac line of brake bleeding and fluid transfer equipment. Jeff hung on, never flinched, and fielded the question like the true car guy he is. Our education on thesepressing subjects continued for the rest of the show.

The boys talk about the merits of Matco ratchets and the problems with off brand tools. Oddball socket sizes rile up the listeners, and some call in to share their complaints. The hidden headlight door motor in Chris' Chrysler needs fixing and Chassis John offers a quick solution. The show wraps up by talking about metric fasteners found in a Ford Model A.

The free-for-all continues this week with Chris defining clown-heads for us and his realization that fresh air vents really do work well! Companion cylinders, torque wrench adapters & using up old fluids all get kicked around a bit, then Rats eating Tesla wiring is explored. A caller brings it back to fluids with a question about changing his transmission fluid.

It's a real free-for-all this week when the boys talk about car horn tones & how to test them, and some weird parking lot oddities they've experienced. Ray relays a trifecta of FJ Cruiser sightings on the Northern State Parkway then Chris describes how older cars that age gracefully really strike his fancy. The Grand National cooling fan problem & diagnostics Ray is facing rounds out the hour of fun.

The boys talk about buying parts for their old cars at a major show & swap meet, then discuss the troubles related to repairing electric tools with no diagnostic help. Tool talk leads into using bi-directional control when working on a computer based cars, and the topic of whether old or new cars are harder to fix gets kicked around. Increased Ethanol added to pump gas and how to combat it rounds out the hour.

Today's show starts with talk about the best way to wrap an extension cord, then the boys discuss whether battery or pneumatic tools are better to use and rebuild. Dan Short from the popular TV show Fantomworks calls in to catch us all up on what he's been doing since filming stopped, and talks about major parts shortages, filming woes and his favorite car builds. Ruffling some Ford guys feathers, Dan voices his pick of using the LS engine over the Coyote platform in his custom builds.

The brain cell killing idle characteristics of Ray's GTO kick off the show today which leads down a few good diagnostic paths. How to price our used parts and where to sell them leaves the boys no better off than when they started talking about it, then a call comes in from an old friend who's busy reviving a 30 year old lawn mower-after the show it was found out that he did indeed get it to light off. Hal Schaffer calls to talk about the ins and outs of dealing with vintage and new Stromberg carburetors.

Chris talks about how his neighbors loan out their cars to friends while Ray says "HELL NO!" to the idea. The Holley 600 idle mystery is solved by reversing the choke spring, & Ray has to massage a rear wheel well on his GTO to accommodate the new rear tires. Dis-mounting old tires from rusty rims has Ray in a dither, as does his quest for the correct A/C hose crimping tool. A Ford float adjustment and future guest who specializes in Stromberg 97 carbs rounds out this show.
