Maj explains why he believes his group has been able to relate to local communities, which has led to a really positive reception in all of the urban areas where Black Guns Matter has reached out. On today’s episode of Felony Friday Israel Torres joins the show to share what it was like to have his life sentence commuted by President Obama. Israel was sentenced to life in prison at the age of twenty-one for a nonviolent drug offense. He thought he would be serving out his life sentence until President Obama commuted his sentence and granted Israel his freedom. Now that Israel has rejoined society he is contributing value and proving every day that non-violent drug offenders can do great things once given a chance to prove their worth on the outside. Today on Felony Friday Trey Weaver joins host John Odermatt to share stories of personal injustice he’s experienced growing up in a small Iowa town. Trey is a libertarian and a dedicated listener of the Lions of Liberty Podcast. A few weeks ago Trey contacted the show to express an interest in sharing some unbelievable stories of profiling, targeting and entrapment that he experienced at the hands of a small town Iowa police force. In one story the police staked out Trey house until he put his trash can on the curb so they could go through his garbage and charge him with a minor marijuana offense.
