Well this is the first Black List script to make it onto Shelved. The Black List is a list of scripts circulating Hollywood that have high praise or are highly sought out. Ares is an interesting Sci-Fi script that feels like The Bourne Identity meets The Martian. Written by Andrew Kevin Walker who also wrote the Spider-Man script we looked at, X-Men was another Walker script that was shopped around in the early 90's. Originally tapped for James Cameron,  he eventually chose Spider-Man as his project and neither ended up coming to fruition. This script is very different from the X-Men movie we got in the early 2000s but is quite an interesting take on the franchise. Who knew that Rob Zombie had once written a sequel to the Crow franchise. A sequel or a reboot? It's hard to tell but regardless this was a fascinating read! Another previous guest Vinny Malave (Resident Evil episode) returns to discuss Rob Zombie's insane and awesome version of the famed franchise in this screenplay for the Crow 2037. Well this week is a special one. We have a new Spider-Man movie coming this year and as he is my all time favorite superhero I decided to look at one of the few Spider-Man scripts that existed before the 2002 movie. In 2009 Dragon Ball Evolution was barfed into cinemas to a much maligned response. It threw away everything that everyone knew and loved about the show and instead presented the most bare bones and boring interpretation of the classic anime/manga. Well little did we know the script to the movie was actually much close to the source material so I brought in my buddy and fellow Dragon Ball fanatic Nick Almendarez, professional wrestler and founder of Freelance Wrestling in Chicago, do discuss the Dragon Ball movie that could have been. Well we made it to a second episode! It's officially a podcast. This episode is timed with the release of the new Resident Evil movie in theaters. Resident Evil The Final Chapter. A film series that has spanned 14 years and made hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide, but has always been met with tepid response. Before the series launched, George Romero, the zombie king, turned in a draft to Capcom in 1998 that they then shot down.
