The Tony Perkins Show featuring Gary Stein is a weekly podcast based in Washington D.C. brought to you by MORE broadcasting. Perkins and Stein worked together on ABC's Good Morning America from 1999-2005 and remain best friends to this day. Their unique chemistry is the cornerstone of this podcast that features comedy and long-form interviews. Tony Perkins is the evening news anchor for WTTG FOX 5 DC.

    In this uproarious and special episode, broadcasting legend Donnie Simpson sits in with the guys for nearly the entire show.   Donnie spent over 30 years as the KING of D.C. radio, first at WKYS-FM, and then at WPGC-FM.  He was also the original (and best) host of BET's "Video Soul" for nearly 15 years.  Tony was Donnie's morning show producer and on-air sidekick at WKYS for eight years, and this episode marks their first long-form reunion in many, many years.  30 years of friendship and laughter shine through, as Donnie tells amazing and hilarious stories about his years in broadcasting, and his encounters with such stars as Michael Jackson.

    As boxing fans gear up for the May 2nd 'Mayweather vs. Paquiao' fight in Las Vegas, Tony and Gary talk to former WBU Light Welterweight Champion MICKY WARD.  Ward's story was made famous in the fantastic 2010 film "The Fighter", starring Mark Wahlberg as Ward.  In a very candid (and surprisingly funny) conversation, Ward talks about his career, including his classic 2002-2003 trilogy of fights with Arturo Gatti, his subsequent friendship with Gatti, and the plans to make a sequel to "The Fighter".  Ward also reveals surprising information on how he's doing now, and he weighs in on Mayweather/Paquiao.   Oh, yeah, we almost forgot.  Gary and Tony also engage in an uproarious chat about "Blaxploitation" movies, and whether or not there should be a black James Bond.  This episode is rated "Not PC"!  Enjoy!
