Maz may be the only Guest Host to ever beat the Donuts at their own game. The sound design is amazing, the set dec looks expensive and interesting, and the pilot focuses on character, not complicated plot twists. Is Mal too dark? Is Firefly ripe for a reboot? Does Joss know battle speeches? Tune in. Find out!

Episode 17 - "The Dead Man Has No Future. Because he’s Dead." That's just a title! We're kind of divided on this one, but all agree that Steve Coogan is worth it. Joined by guest host Cindy, we talk about mysterious drawers, narcissistic assholes & appropriate funeral attire. Don't miss this one!

Episode 16 - "The Flashforward Is Only Happening Because It Happened" We are once again joined by our favourite Sub-Donut Erik who is not stoked for the FF fans. The cast is stacked - JOHN CHO! - but the science doesn't add up, the future chain of events doesn't line up, there isn't enough Gaius Fracking Baltar and we're subjected to a Seth MacFarlane cameo! All that and Hannah & Saskia still kind of love it. Who's side are you on?

Episode 15 - "That Was An Uncomfortable Moment" We watch our first web series turned tv show & we're on board for the most part. Until that last episode. At 8 minutes an episode, we watched only 32 minutes total, making it our shortest Donut show ever! There are some very awkward moments between mother and son, grandma & grandson, and old neighbours. Watch it, listen to this, have a great time!

Episode 14 - “Sisters Doing It For Themselves” Sister’s doing it for themselves! The Donut Crew chomps down into 90’s feminist front-runner CHARMED, and it delivers on multiple fronts. 90s music (,) fast-paced banter, and spells, spells, SPELLS! Quizmaster Piers was delighted to discover the story of three sisters discovering their witching heritage, and Hannah was delighted to share one of her favourite series with all of you.

Episode 13 - "I Forgot About That Hilarious Bit" Hank doesn't have much substance to offer so we try to keep it short and not so sweet. ABC fails us again with a sitcom premise done better on Arrested Development and Canadian gem, Schitt's Creek. Piers wants to see more of the outside world. Hannah wants more Moodie Maddie and Saskia just wants out. But if you stick with us all the way to the end you are guaranteed a musical treat.

Episode 12 - "I Would Say There's a lot of Clan Talk I Enjoyed" In this episode the Donut crew dives deep into the mythology of the Highlander and we understand it less and less as we try to put it together. The Princes of the universe have 12 packs, extensive sword training and a kick-ass Queen soundtrack, but if there can only be one, why are there so many? The sound is a little fuzzy on this one (sorry!) but it is well worth the journey with us through the massive holes in this universe fuelled by action, sex, and Canadian lighting.

Episode 11 - “We Don’t Really Learn Anything About The Future" TV Donut takes a trip to the past with family channel's PHIL OF THE FUTURE, a classic sitcom that teaches us nothing essential about where society is heading. When Phil and his family end up stuck in the 21st century, can they (and their one, multipurpose futuristic gadget) manage to navigate the caveman era? Despite one of the wildest, most cartoony sound mixes we’ve ever heard, this show manages to be far better than we expected. Kudos to you, child actors. The donut crew breaks down late night TV for insomniacs, brain switching machines, demolition man sex helmets, surprisingly good child actors, comparisons to “That’s So Raven,” 2004 fashion, megalomaniacal kid sisters, cliques, and what exactly constitutes being a ‘popular kid.'

Episode 10 - "I Hate to Think How Many Contrary Weirdos this Show Inspired" This weeks TV Donut continues our 70s theme with one of America's most classic sitcoms. THE Robin Williams is an improv genius, The Fonz and Shirley are strangely out of place (and out of time) and the space fashion is out of this world! We see M&M's influence all over TV, including two former Donut shows - 3rd Rock & Sailor Moon! The timeline confused us, but the egg jokes land. #NanuNanu

Episode 9 - "And He's Definitely Dead" The donut crew HAPPILY returns to Night Time Soap territory with 80s Gem Falcon Crest - There's one powerful vineyardist, her briefly alive brother & all of their children, mental illness and all. Things don't go well for everyone, but for us, they sure do. We love Falcon Crest & so will you.

Episode 8 - "Dick and Fart Jokes" We have discovered an absolute national disaster. TESTEES (FX) is quite easily the worst piece of Canadian television programming we have watched to date, and we apologize on behalf of our nation. This should've stayed buried, but we suffered through it so you don't have to. The DONUT CREW breaks down the science of dick-enlarging sprays, male pregnancy/gas pills, the natural female attraction to pregnant men, terrible company names, unmotivated characters, how to fail at homage, the unique colours of Canadian television, and boring go-nowhere scenes we wish we could unsee. "Enjoy" TESTEES at your own risk: you have been warned.

Episode 7 - "Like, Seriously, Bro?" The Donuts are mixed on one of TV's most classic sitcoms. Archie Bunker doesn't think he's racist. He thinks he's right. The fact that All in the Family highlights difficult issues we still deal with today makes it even harder to watch. Hannah is super into Lionel, Piers loves the play like style, and it's Saskia's fav TV Donut Theme song ever, but as a Millennial she does not appreciate the "views you are subjected to." The truth hurts, kids!
