Imagine you have everything you'd ever wanted. You have a big house, nice cars, and a huge family with which to share your fantastic life. Then imagine in a quick series of events you lose everything you have, all your children, and then having your wife and friends turn on you. How would you handle something like that? This week Dewayne and Patrick look at the character of Job. He endures a lot of pain, suffering, and loss. The Bible opens Job's story with a declaration of his character. And, while a divine statement about his character is strong. Could you move away from anything you've ever known? Could you offer your child as a sacrifice when commanded to do so? How far would your faith take you? Most people have no problem declaring their faith when its not being tested. But, real faith is proven in the fire of trial. This week, we take a break and look at the more zany side of biblical interpretation. There are some who believe that the Bible not only gives credit to the idea of extraterrestrial beings, but that it actually records several instances of humans coming in contact with them. In what seems to be a strange and unprecedented move, Mary washes the feet of Jesus using her tears, her hair, and some stuff the Bible calls "Spikenard". Chances are that the first verse you ever memorized was John 11:35 which simply states "Jesus wept." Yet in those two small words we are able to see what is perhaps the fullest view of Jesus' humanity.
