UFOs and the Bible?!?
27/06/2017 Duración: 34minThis week, we take a break and look at the more zany side of biblical interpretation. There are some who believe that the Bible not only gives credit to the idea of extraterrestrial beings, but that it actually records several instances of humans coming in contact with them. The idea of UFOs is so ingrained in our entertainment industry and literature that it was only a matter of time before someone started seeing them in the Bible. Does the Bible contain accounts of these extraterrestrial visitors and the UFOs that brought them to Earth? Join Patrick and Dewayne this week as we look at the idea of UFOs, aliens, and the Bible. Jesus Prays (John 17:20-26
30/05/2017 Duración: 38minWe can learn a lot about a person by observing what kind of things they pray about. It shows us what is most important to the one offering the prayer. All You Need is Agape...All Together Now! (John 13:31-38)
12/05/2017 Duración: 29minWithout a doubt, the most central, key principle that the Bible uses to guide Christians is love. Jesus, just hours before he would begin the direct journey to the cross would take an opportunity to, one last time, teach his disciples about the importance of love in everything that they do. They were about to face the trial of separation and loss. And, they would need each other along the way. Join Patrick and Dewayne as they explore John 13:31-38. She Did What She Could (John 12:1-9)
05/05/2017 Duración: 45minIn what seems to be a strange and unprecedented move, Mary washes the feet of Jesus using her tears, her hair, and some stuff the Bible calls "Spikenard". Come Forth! Raising Lazarus from the Dead (John 11:1-44)
27/04/2017 Duración: 35minChances are that the first verse you ever memorized was John 11:35 which simply states "Jesus wept." Yet in those two small words we are able to see what is perhaps the fullest view of Jesus' humanity. We see Jesus in an emotionally vulnerable moment. Its no wonder that the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead is a favorite of so many Christians today (including Dewayne). This week, Patrick and Dewayne will explore ancient burial practices as well as this tender moment revealed in scripture. From this moment we are taught that God truly cares about his creation. Theology vs. Compassion (John 9:1-7)
20/04/2017 Duración: 34minThis week Jesus and his disciples encounter a man born blind. They see the same person and have very different reactions. The disciples seem more interested in having a theological discussion than the pitiful circumstances of their fellow man. Jesus approaches it with a completely different perspective. He sees an opportunity to glorify the Father and give aid to broken person. And, he does it using spit...what!?! Join Patrick and Dewayne this week as we explore this weird, but extremely powerful moment in the ministry of Christ. Three Responses to Jesus (John 6:66-71)
23/03/2017 Duración: 40minJesus was direct and unchanging in teaching the truth. His message was hard for some to accept and they walked away. For others, they latched on tightly to the Savior hoping to hear more. And still, there is the third group. They looked like disciples. But, their hearts were somewhere else. Join Patrick and Dewayne this week as they look at all three of these responses to the truth of Jesus' message in John 6:69-71. www.unashamedpodcast.com You can find us on Twitter: @dewaynedbryant @PDHnOdem or feel free to email us at: patrick@unashamedpodcast.com

Custom Made Savior (John 6:66-68)
16/03/2017 Duración: 36minLast week Jesus was at the height of His earthly ministry. This week it all comes crashing down as those that ate in the wilderness begin to leave in droves. God Does Great Things with Very Little (John 6:1-21)
09/03/2017 Duración: 29minToday's lesson comes from the story of Jesus feeding the great multitude. He started with 5 loaves, two fish, 12 bewildered apostles, and a hungry crowd of thousands. When it was all said and done, everyone was fed (with food leftover) and everyone recognized that Jesus was unlike any other. He made so much out of so very little that day. What can He do with us? Join Patrick and Dewayne as they take a closer look at John 6:1-21 where Jesus feeds the 5000.
