Not a movie from the 90's starring the Looney Toons and Michael Jordan, but an episode devoted to songs about space. In honor of May the 4th (the Star Wars pun day) and the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back this week, Rock Out Loud brings you some of the best songs we know about space. Truthfully, Steve tried to avoid obvious ones for the most part. There are e-mails, Steve and Kristin judge (Steve mostly) songs from groups that the listeners like, and the pair go one to have great time listening to some tunes and talking outer space. Kristin and Steve are back with a show put together just to have some fun and help you feel good. We hope this show will help put a smile on your face, a dance in your step, and maybe you can put these songs together and DJ your own party right where you are. We took suggestions from YOU for this episode and had a great time just hanging out and taking our minds off of things for a bit. Apologies to dear friend of the show Matt Crowder.

Every now and then an idea morphs into something that could be either great or a mistake. This time out just such a thing happened. What began with the intention of a show focusing on Aerosmith led to a fun little piece of trivia connecting the band with Rock Out Loud favorite Bruce Springsteen. This revelation led to a shift in the discussion on this episode before the recording ever began. How does Springsteen's first album, "Greetings From Asbury Park," compare to the self titled first album of Aerosmith? How would these artists evolve? Steve and Kristin give both albums a listen and discuss the need for a good producer, plugging the instruments in, and the importance of finding your own voice as an artist. Kristin and Steve are back together for the marathon for CURE. It's an epic sized Rock Out Loud as Steve and Kristin kick off the reunion with talk of all kinds of things. Then it's the meat of the episode. With the recent news that My Chemical Romance is going on tour for the first time in years, it seemed only fitting that we celebrate by breaking down the most iconic of their albums. Steve is all new to it, and Kristin is a fan from way back so the discussion is what a Rock Out Loud discussion always is frank, fun, and (at times) fanatical.
