lntroduction: The story of Noah and the ark is one that many are familiar with from our days in Sunday school or maybe the many movies about the story. As a result, many have forgotten that this was real event that Involved a real person, sin, Judgment and salvation. There is much controversy around the idea on a global flood destroying all living creatures with the exception of Noah and his family, However, as we take a fresh look at these events, we will see that our God is Indeed a God of Judgment but more Importantly a God that offered and still offers salvation. The question is, are you in the boat?

Genesis 3 is arguably the most tragic of all the chapters in the Bible. It is in this chapter that we see the tactics of Satan and the result of Adam's disobedience. Prior to this Adam and Eve had enjoyed perfect fellowship with God in a place that was created for them to enjoy. However, the enemy comes but to steal, kill and destroy but even In this tragedy, God show his mercy and foreshadows his redemptive plan for mankind.

Our society today Is fascinated with their ancestry. Companies like Ancestry.com has exploded with people exploring their heritage, even giving their DNA in hopes of learning more about their heritage. A quick search shows that learning your family history can give you a sense of Identity, make you more resilient, help you connect with others, make you a better human, and help you make good health choices. "Selecthealth.org" If knowing our natural heritage can have those benefits, how much more can knowing our spiritual heritage give the same benefits and more.

Jesus taught us many things but in the illustration of the wise and foolish builders we are challenged to listen and obey what Jesus has asked of us. Have you given thought to what will happen to your foundation when the storms of life come? Jesus is the Rock. Build on Him and in the end you will not be disappointed.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister and prominent activist and civil rights leader that used non violent protests, civil disobedience and legislative action to advance the rights of people of color through the civil rights act, voting rights act and fair housing act all in the mid to late 1960's. He is best known for his, "I have a dream" speech delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963. Dr. King was assassinated In Memphis, Tenn. on April 4,1968. Martin Luther King Jr. day was signed into federal law In 1986 by president Ronald Reagan. Race Relations and the divisive nature of them tend to make us want to shy away from such topics. But as in all things as followers of Christ we should k now what the scriptures teach in this area and be prepared to be salt and light to the culture in this area as well.

We are very accustomed to getting the exciting news that a baby has been born by birth announcement. We may get them in the mail or see them on social media. There has never been more important announcement that that of the birth of the Savior of the world. As we read from Luke's Gospel, we find it to be not just any birth announcement but a heavenly announcement.

All other religions are man's pursuit of God. Only the God of the Bible that we serve became one of us to rescue us from sin and do what had to be done to restore the broken fellowship between himself and his creation. At the dedication of the temple when Solomon asked, "will God dwell on the earth?" He had no Idea that he indeed would through the life of Jesus the virgin born son of God!
