We all  go through bad moments and tough situations in life, and Satan tries to tell us that these moments define us. He says that to wound our confidence, diminish our faith, lower our expectation, and hold us hostage to the worst periods of our past. But through this word, God is liberating you. There is so much more ahead of you! 

The amazing thing about God is, He takes tragic circumstances and produces triumphant outcomes by His power alone. In today’s inspiration, Dianna Hobbs says, you may be going through something tough right now, but the Lord will deliver you! Sometimes, our circumstances contradict what God’s word says. But if we can just hold on, and believe His promises, we will see God reveal Himself and prove what we already know about Him, that He is faithful to perform every word He says. There are some unfortunate, unfair, painful, and unpleasant things that have happened to you in the past that you can’t change, you can’t fix, and you can’t edit out. But you can accept what happened, and move forward with a grateful heart, because had it not been for the Lord, there is no way you could have come this far. Instead of sulking, rejoice that your life is a testimony! 

Sometimes, God allows us to be stripped of the things we think make us impressive in order to teach us that our worth is not simply tied to the things we possess, but instead, our identity is in Christ alone. And He alone is impressive!

You can be powerful and feel pitiful. But God has a way of stepping into our pity parties and reminding us of who we are, restoring us, and breathing new life into our circumstances! 

In this teaching, we are giving ourselves permission to say it when we’re not okay while also remembering that God is our refuge and yet worthy of worship through it all. Listen and be blessed.  

Many times in life, we feel like we have to put on a brave face and live up to a certain standard to be acceptable. We edit ourselves to appear to be more than we are because of internal and external pressure to perform. But in today’s teaching, God is saying, free yourself from all that pressure. You don’t have to be enough, because God is.

Bad things happen -- things that fall outside the realm of our control. And yet, we have a tendency to self-blame when things fall apart, and struggles of life leave us looking for reasons why.  It's not your fault!  

What you go through in life has purpose. And God can use the ugliest, most painful things as a testimony of  Christ's greatness and His power to redeem, restore, resurrect and make all things new. So don't hide those scars. When you reveal them, you reveal HIM. Listen and be encouraged!
