That first Easter Sunday morning is the defining moment in all of human history! If Jesus rose from the grave—He is Lord. If that’s true—it changes everything!

We’re going to look at what Jesus went through on that Good Friday in the physical death of Jesus.

God uses defining moments to transform our faith and everything about us. The Bible’s full of amazing stories where God shows up and people are changed forever!

Every Christ-follower with an unshakable faith had an undeniable encounter with Jesus.

Serving changes those we serve & builds our faith. God calls us away from our comfort zones to serve those that God puts in our lives.

People with unshakable faith have walked through painful times and experienced God’s power, comfort and promises in an incredible way. We look at a powerful story in John 11 that gives us greater clarity of how we walk through hard times and where is God in the midst of our pain.

People with unshakable faith have people in their lives that God sent to sharpen, encourage, comfort and challenge us to become the people that He created us to be. Not only do we have providential relationships but God calls us to be providential relationships with the people that He puts in our path.

People with an unshakable faith develop strong private disciplines. We focused on the private discipline of percentage giving in Malachi 3. We as Christ-followers are called to reflect the God that we serve and to trust Him with every single area of our lives—including our money. This discussion is about a Biblical definition of generosity. Do we really trust God with every area of our lives?

Jesus spoke about the importance of putting God’s Word into practice in Matthew 7:24-29. We want to be people that build our lives on the Word of God. It’s not just hearing or understanding God’s Word—it’s doing something with what God’s truth and plan for our lives. It makes all the difference!

The most important things, the most rewarding things, the most sacred things involve risk. There is always a risk-reward quotient, which determines whether it’s worth doing. God calls us to risk connection and take a step towards authentic Biblical community. It’s a big step worth taking!

God created us and hardwired us for community. Circles are better than rows. Life Groups are the vehicle that God uses to transform us. Growth happens in the context of relationships. God created the church for the journey.

Why is it that we have such a hard time believing that God loves us? We always have to attach some condition to it. What we find in that very first Christmas is that we are so loved! John 3:16 is the message that settles everything. God loves me. God still loves me. God loves me in spite of me. God never stopped loving me. God will not stop loving me. God loves me period!

God’s message in the very first Christmas is that we might understand our purpose. It’s way more than a holiday. Christmas changes everything!

The very first Christmas was far from peaceful. We can learn so much about the very first Christmas and how it impacts our Christmas. God have His greatest gift in the midst of our greatest need!
