A non-inferiority study was conducted in 17 nursing homes, including 438 residents.  Face-to-face interventions involved on-site assessment by a geriatrician and aged care clinical nurse specialist (CNS). Telemedicine interventions involved on-site assessment by an aged care CNS with telemedicine input by a geriatrician. The study identified some pros and cons related to use of telemedicine in nursing home communities.
