Australia is in the midst of a housing crisis, yet there are a million empty homes and 13 million unused bedrooms across the country. Ludwina Dautovic is addressing this disconnect. According to a new Australian Housing Urban Research Institute (AHURI) report, an incredible 59 per cent of households aged 55 and over have two or more bedrooms spare, and even in the 22-44 age bracket, 30% of households have 2 plus unused bedrooms. All of this at a time when we’re currently suffering the worst rental crisis and housing shortage Australia has ever seen.
