National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on Court TV Morning Radio with Vinnie Politan, on satellite Sirius 110, on March 21, 2006.  After the cable TV network, HBO, debuted the premiere of its historic fictional series, called "Big Love" (on March 12, 2006), the host wanted to learn more about polygamy and whether or not the show accurately reflected polygamous families' experiences.   (Prior to this TV show, no network had ever aired any series that presented polygamy in any positive non-criminal example.  That is why it was so history-making.)  The host unwittingly mistook that Mark Henkel was speaking with the show "really early" as if his guest was from Utah, not realizing that Mark Henkel was in Maine, in the same time zone as the show.   Mark Henkel was allowed to clarify that UCAP (Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy) has nothing do with crimes, criminals, and cults, to differentiate the different forms (Mormon polygamy, Christian polygamy, secular polygamy, etc.

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was on The Ed Tyll Show, syndicated on the Starcom Radio Network, on June 13, 2013. This was the first of two interviews on this show that week, as the US Supreme Court was gearing up to make its decision about same sex marriage in both cases of Hollingsworth v. Perry and United States v. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was the guest on Talk of the Town, on WATR, 1320-AM, in Waterbury, Connecticut, on March 12, 2014.  This interview was in advance of the television network TLC set to broadcast its second reality-TV series about polygamy, called, "My Fives Wives."  Also, the Brown v. Buhman ("Sister Wives") case had, at that point, just received a victory in a Utah court that positively de-criminalized "de facto polygamy" in December 2013.  (Unfortunately, that decision was later reversed on appeal in 2016 by a technicality. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was the guest on The Bill Cunningham Show, on 700 WLW, in Cinncinatti, Ohio, on January 22, 2016.   This weekday radio talk show, hosted by a lawyer of 40 years, served a mostly conservative audience. The host also hosted a separate nationally syndicated Sunday radio show as well as a TV talk show on the CW television network.  This interview occurred as the Brown v. Buhman (the "Sister Wives") case was being heard that week at the Tenth District Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colorado.   Differentiating that polygamy is about marriage and requires commitment, Mark Henkel said, "In America, sex is easy to find and get.  You don't have to get married to have sex."  While still seeking to be entertaining, the host asked many questions, got many answers, and ended up concluding positively that he could not see how a law could stop people in their 40s and 50s from choosing UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy. http://www.Nationa

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was the guest on nationally syndicated America Now Radio with Andy Dean, with Simon Conway filling in, on December 26, 2013.  This came after the District Court in Utah had effectively de-criminalized "de facto polygamy" in a favorable decision in the Brown v. Buhman ("Sister Wives") case, before that case was later REVERSED in 2016.  Also, TLC television network had announced that a second reality-TV show would  be pending in the following March, 2014, called "My 5 Wives."  This radio show was a politically conservative program with a consverative audience.  The fill-in host became hostile when his repeated gaslighting attempts in trying to set a rhetorical trap consistently failed.  Mark Henkel saw through the trap and consistently answered appropriately, standing in using the show's audience's own limited government commonplace language. National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was the guest on The Tom Barnard Show, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on January 27, 2016, the week after the Brown v. Buhman ("Sister Wives") case was appealed at that US 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colorado.  This natually-humorous host found himself surprised at how serious and interesting the topic was.  The many questions and the overall discussion comprehensively covered a lot of topical ground in so short a period of time.  The host also laughed out loud more than once at some of the humorous responses that Mark Henkel gave back too.  Besides the other co-hosts, Tom Barnard's wife was also a co-host on the show.   Following Mark Henkel's "Seed & Garden Comparison" that explains the choices, biology, and anthropology of why we tend to see more examples of families choosing polygyny more than polyandry, the co-host wife respectfully concluded, "You do a great sales job on this whole thing." National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was interviewed on The Mancow Show, the nationally syndicated show hosted by Erich "Mancow" Muller of Q-101 WKQX in Chicago, Illinois, on March 15, 2006.  Days before, the never-done-before premiere of a new polygamy-topic TV series on HBO called, "Big Love," aired.  This recording begins with the pre-interview to reveal the difference from how the show was described versus the sophomoric silliness that occurred on the actual show. At one point, Mancow went off into the silliness of shouting "How many wives?" 17 times in a row.  Later, one of the side co-hosts proclaimed the hilarious (in its context) line, "I'm not an individual, I'm black!" and then proceeded to interrupt the rest of the interview.  The host, Mancow himself, however, said, "I want to talk to the guy."  Nevertheless, Mark Henkel's arguments were successfully persuasive.  The other silliness notwithstanding, Mancow did say, "I like the idea," and he concluded the interview

National Polygamy Advocate ™ Mark Henkel was the guest on The Mike Schikman Show, on WSVA NewsRadio 550-AM & 92.1-FM, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on August 18, 2017 to discuss UCAP, Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy, on the news of the then-breaking Gallup poll.  On July 28, 2017, Gallup reported a poll that found a surprising increase in the number of Americans who found polygamy to be "morally acceptable."  At 17% in 2017, this number was up 3 percentage points from the year before in 2016, and it was up 10 percentage points from the decade before in 2007.  Not only that, but these poll results occurred despite the fact that the US Supreme Court had declined (in the previous January, 2017) to even hear the appeal of the Brown v. One month after the Supreme Court's Lawrence v. Texas decision of June 26, 2003, this 83-minute interview was one of the groundbreaking & history-making interviews that paved the way for eventual TV shows about polygamy in a positive presentation.
